Ich arbeite mit dem, was da ist.
Meine Arbeiten entstehen oft auf dem Boden, erst ohne Plan,
aber nie ohne Absicht.
Mich interessiert, was übrig bleibt, wenn man Schichten abträgt
– oder aufhört, nachzudenken.
Dabei denke ich eigentlich die ganze Zeit nach.
Meine Arbeiten erzählen keine Geschichten.
Sie halten eher fest, was (mir) durchrutscht.
Und das sind dann am Ende doch wieder Geschichten. Für den ein
oder anderen.
Ich zweifle. Ich warte.
Manchmal male ich wochenlang nichts.
Immer mache ich es anders als vorher.
Ich habe keine Linie. Vielleicht ist das meine Linie.

I work with whatever is there.
Most of my pieces start on the floor – no plan at first, but
never without intent.
I'm interested in what remains when you strip things down – or
stop overthinking.
Though honestly, I never stop overthinking.
My work doesn’t tell stories.
It holds on to what slips through.
And somehow, those things turn into stories. For some, at
least.
I doubt. I wait.
Sometimes I don’t paint for weeks.
I never do it the same way twice.
I have no line. Maybe that’s my line.
